I hv fed my almost 3 yr old Labradoodle TOTW Bison since I brought him home at 8 wks due to the fact I was told by our local pet store owner that TOTW was the best dry dog food she carried. I chose the Bison because after extensive allergy testing was done, it was found that he is allergic to eggs, beef, fish, poultry, along with enironmental allergies such as certain kinds of grass, shrubs, etc. He has done well on this dry food that I lv out for him and his sister, also a labradoodle. I also feed them Merrick canned pork which is grain free and he can tolerate pork. I tried cooking for him in the beginning, but was always concerned he wasn’t getting the right amout of minerals, vitamins, etc. they shld hv, plus they weren’t all that crazy about the “goulash” I was making. I also hv a hard headed husband who likes to give them treats off his dinner plate! The bottom line is that I think TOTW is a very good dry dog food and won’t break the bank.

See there with count'nance blithe,
And with a courtly grin, the fawning hound
Salutes thee cow'ring, his wide op'ning nose
Upward he curls, and his large sloe-black eyes
Melt in soft blandishments and humble joy;
His glossy skin, or yellow-pied, or blue,
In lights or shades by Nature's pencil drawn,
Reflects the various tints; his ears and legs,
Fleckt here and there, in gay enamel'd pride,
Rival the speckled pard; his rush-grown tail
O'er his broad back bends in an ample arch;
On shoulders clean, upright and firm he stands;
His round cat-foot, straight hams, and wide-spread thighs,
And his low-dropping chest, confess his speed,
Or far extended plain; in ev'ry part
So well proportion'd, that the nicer skill
Of Phidas himself can't blame thy choice. [2]

A 2007 study [31] identified a myostatin mutation particular to Whippets that is significantly associated with their athletic performance. Whippets with a single copy of this mutation are generally very fast; those with two copies have disproportionately large musculature and are known as " bully whippets ". [32] These bully whippets experience no significant health problems beyond those experienced by a normal whippet, but may be more prone to muscle cramping. [33] The mutation has not been seen in Greyhounds or other sighthound breeds, or in heavily muscled dogs such as Bullmastiffs , Bulldogs , Rottweilers or American Staffordshire Terriers . [33]

Symptoms of Cushing’s disease in dogs can vary widely, as the adrenal gland is responsible for the production of many hormones and steroids. Depending on which hormones or organs are affected, symptoms can appear differently in type and severity. If glucocorticoid, a natural steroid, is affected, muscle tissue can break down and urination can become abnormal. If the immune system is affected, there may be secondary infections. If the pancreas is affected, dogs may have diarrhea or start vomiting. Here are a few of the symptoms you may see in dogs with Cushing’s disease.
